Love Ljubljana is researched by our editorial team against primary, official sources. For anything time-sensitive — tickets, opening hours, timetables, seasonal closures — we link the venue’s or operator’s own page as the source of truth, and we recommend checking it again right before your visit. Prices and hours change; treat the figures in our guides as a planning baseline.
The verified facts shown in the “Quick facts” panels across the site are documented internally, with provenance, in our fact-check log, and every figure is traced back to one of the official sources listed below.

How we research and verify
Love Ljubljana is written and maintained by our editorial team — an organisation, not a single named author. We don't publish AI-invented personas or fabricated credentials. What we do publish is researched: we start from the official, primary source for each fact, prefer the venue or operator's own page over second-hand listings, and note when something could not be confirmed rather than guessing.
Our priority order is simple. First, the official venue website (for tickets, hours, and closures). Second, Ljubljana's official tourism site (Visit Ljubljana) or the relevant operator (LPP for transit). Third, a reputable, current secondary source — used only to corroborate, never as the sole basis for a specific price or time. When the sources disagree, the venue wins.
How to use the facts on this site
Treat prices, opening hours, and timetables as a planning baseline, not a guarantee. Costs rise, hours shift with the season, and timetables change — so the single most useful habit is a quick check of the official page in the days before you go. Our quick-verify routine before any visit:
- • Confirm the current opening hours and the last-entry time.
- • Check whether timed tickets or reservations are required, and book if so.
- • Look for seasonal closures, renovation works, or private-event closures.
- • On the day you travel, check transit alerts for buses and the airport connection.
- • For festivals and markets, confirm this year's exact dates and any weather cancellations.
What we deliberately leave blank
Where we could not confirm a figure from a primary source, we leave it out rather than inventing one. A few examples: the standard adult price for the regular Škocjan Caves tour (the official portal was access-blocked at the time of writing), the tourist visiting hours for the Cathedral of St Nicholas (only Mass times are officially published), and single ticket prices for events with per-act or per-day pricing. In those places we point you to the official source and suggest a quick check rather than quoting a number we can't stand behind — that's a feature, not an oversight. Spotted something out of date? We'd genuinely like to know — see our contact page.
